Maths magic trick - Birth day date calculation

School children might be enjoying their summer vacations now as their examinations are completed. Here is a maths trick to play for calculating your birth day date. You can surprise your friends with this magic trick and enjoy the fun. Here is the trick.
  • Step 1: Add 18 to your birth month.
  • Step 2: Multiply by 25.
  • Step 3: Subtract 333.
  • Step 4: Multiply by 8.
  • step 5: Subtract 554.
  • step 6: Divide by 2.
  • step 7: Add your birth date.
  • step 8: Multiply by 5.
  • step 9: Add 692.
  • step 10: Multiply by 20.
  • step 11: Add only the last two digits of your birth year.
  • step 12: Subtract 32940 to get your birthday!.
Example: If the answer is 123199 means that you were born on December 31, 1999. If the answer is not right, you followed the directions incorrectly or lied about your birthday.

Amazing facts about Formula 1 Cars

I think every one of you may be knowing about f1 cars or the Formula 1 cars. Formula 1 is nothing but a type of open wheel automotive racing. Formula 1 is considered as the most prestigious car racing series in the world. Here are some interesting facts about f1 cars.
  • a F1 car can pick up speed from 0 to 160 kmph and back to 0 within 4 seconds.
  • Do you know that smaller aeroplanes takes off at lower speed than F1 cars on the track
  • When a F1 car is racing on the track, the down force produced provides enough suction to lift a manhole cover. So all the man hole covers on the roads are to be welded down to prevent them being lifted by the cars
  • A F1 car's tyres lose weight during a race. Each type of an f1 car loses about 1/2 Kg. due to wear
  • The normal cars last for 60,000 Km to 1,00,000 Kms. But the f1 cars are designed to last only for 90 to 130 Kms.
  • At the highest speed, f1 car tyre rotates at a speed of 50 rotations per second
  • When a driver of f1 car hits the brakes on his car, he experiences a deceleration comparable to a regular car driving through a brick wall at 300 Km per hour.

Happy Mahavir Jayanthi to all

Mahavir Jayanthi is one of the important festival of the Jain community. The Jain community celebrates the birth anniversary of the 24th and the last Tirthankara, Vardhman Mahavir, the founder of Jainism as Mahavir Jayanthi every year.

Mahavir was born in the 7th century BC and his birth anniversary is celebrated by Jain Community in a grand way. The shrines and temples are decorated with flags on the occasion and the idol of Mahavir is given a ritual bath before being taken out for a grand procession. Jains donate money, food and clothing to the poor on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanthi. In some places Jains organize free food and drinks for all the passersby.

We wish all Jain community a very Happy Mahavir Jayanthi 2012.
